Career Guidance Cell

The Career Guidance wing of the college which works under Prof. Sawant Singh Manto systematically regulates the functioning of the entire set up. The students are divided into small groups each under the charge of one of the committee members who is his/her Guidance Tutor. The Tutor helps in providing proper guidance in the selection of career in accordance with the course pursued by the student. There is a Guidance Cell in the campus which has an "Information and Reading Room with Internet facilities to provide up-to-date information to the students". A proper record of various options for students in different streams has been maintained. This cell. organized lectures and seminars to help the students plan their career. An American embassy team led by minister-council Mr. Blair Parks Hall visited the college and interacted with students. They answered the queries of students regarding prospects of higher education in US, visa procedure, scholarships offered etc. Frankfinn, an air hostess training institute, organized a two-day workshop on personality development. The aim of the workshop was to prepare the students for challenges in the job market. 'Dainik Bhaskar', a leading Hindi daily newspaper organized Practical Training Session wherein they imparted training to students regarding Interview, Resume Writing and Group Discussion.

Placement Cell

In order to provide job opportunities to the students who have passed out of the college, the Placement Cell provides the latest information. The Placement Cell is functioning actively under the guidance of Dr. Avtar Singh, Director Placement Cell. Avenues are found by conducting pre-placement interviews, group discussions and seminars etc. Top ranking companies frequent the campus and have selected candidates as per their requirement. The college succeeded in inviting reputed companies for placements under the successful initiative taken by Dr. Avtar Singh, Director, Placement Cell. These were Wipro-BPO, HDFC Standard Life, EPOS India Pvt Ltd., TMI, ICICI Prudential, Fullerton India Credit Limited, Nest Software Pvt. Ltd., Thermax India Ltd., IBM Daksh, Accenture, Wipro technologies, Infosys Technologies Ltd., Keanes World, Barclay Shared Services, TCS, Khanna Paper Mills and NIIT. Livewel Aviation Services Pvt. Ltd. picked 34 students for placement in their company.

Various departments have subject societies in order to promote interest and update knowledge. Periodic meetings and contests are held and prizes awarded. Science Societies arrange academic excursions and tours. During these tours the students collect material and information that helps them in the study of their respective subjects.
