SEMINAR ON "HURDLES IN MANAGEMENT AND WAYS TO OVERCOME THESE HURDLES " IN KHALSA COLLEGE AMRITSAR

 

Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College, Amritsar  organised a seminar titled " Hurldes in Management  and Ways to Overcome these Hurdles". Guest speaker, S. Tajinder Singh Khalsa, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India stressed that a manager should have the ability to tolerate, remain stress-free, divide work and manage time efficiently. Keeping in view the competitive market conditions, he emphasised on providing additional facilities to the consumer. A manager is not only required to meet the demand of the customers but should also possess the ability to get the work done from the workforce. He further stressed that the manager should develop and maintain  a working team in the organisation and support them in performing their work. However, the mental stress on the manager can spoil the game and he should try to overcome this state through meditation. He also encouraged the students to adopt the role of leader than the manager

 

At the outset of the Seminar, Principal Dr. Daljit Singh, welcomed the speaker and addressed the students. He encouraged the students to develop in them the ability to take decisions and remained disciplined. Only then, they can turn into successful managers.  

 

 Head and Registrar, Prof. Baljinder Singh also stressed on the development of business which is not possible without efficient managers. Hence, he encouraged the students to acquaint themselves with the tactics of management..

 

 Prof. A.B. Sharma, Dr.  H.P. Gupta, Dr. Arvinder Kaur, Dr. Avtar Singh, Dr.Sawraj Kaur and Prof. Deepak Devgan also shared their views on the issue
